APPEAL FROM THE WEBMASTER
Recently I went for a short holiday. As I passed a small garden I saw this Spitfire standing wired down to the ground. Is there any way I can trace who flew it, where it was based and where it was built. If you look at the tail picture you should see the number N3318.
  • Is this any help?

Please contact the Zzipp Creatives Webmaster using the Zzipp Creatives e-mail address on our

Driving forward care for cancer patients

Ladies it is that time of year again. We are calling all the Ladies from Dorset to take part in our infamous Ladies Driving Challenge.

The Ladies Driving Challenge is happening on the 1st of October 2006 at Bovington Army base, nr Wareham.

Marie Curie Cancer Care is offering ladies the chance to drive a variety of exciting vehicles! Can you see yourself behind the wheel of a fire engine or driving a police car or maybe take things slower on a steam engine?

We have many vehicles from heavy good vehicles, 4 x 4 off road, Second World War vehicles, steam engines and buses.

So come on what are you waiting for call Julia or Katie on 01460 271230 for an entry form and information pack.

All that Marie Curie Cancer Care requires is that you hold a full UK driving license and raise £100 sponsorship money.

All monies raised will go towards the Marie Curie Cancer Care nursing service in Dorset. Marie Curie Cancer Care provides hands on care to cancer patients in their own homes allowing people to have the choice to die at home. This service is free of charge 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Call us on 01460 271230 or email julia.chapman@mariecurie.org.uk check out Marie Curie Cancer Care other exciting events at www.mariecurie.org.uk.

ARE YOU WILLING TO TAKE ON THE CHALLENGE OF A LIFETIME?

As a keen mountaineer who has tackled Everest and Kilimanjaro among other peaks, I am used to taking on tough challenges! However, as a supporter of Marie Curie Cancer Care, I am calling on people from Somerset & Dorset to take on their own challenge and sign up for the adventure of a lifetime, in aid of the charity.

The Marie Curie Cancer Care Overseas Challenges offer exhilarating and rewarding experiences in some of the most exciting parts of the world - you can choose from treks, bike rides and mountain climbs as well as other adrenaline-pumping physical challenges in Latin America, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Caribbean. [The next adventure is a spectacular trek to Everest Base Camp on the 3-22nd March 2005 - one I can certainly recommend!]. There is something for everyone.

Brian Blessed/Actor

All you need is a sense of adventure, a reasonable level of fitness and the enthusiasm to rise to the challenge of raising funds for Marie Curie Nurses, whose free nursing care helps cancer patients to make the choice to be cared for at home.

If you are interested in taking part in an Overseas Challenge or would like to receive further information about Marie Curie Cancer Care, please contact Julia or Amanda on 01460 271230 or email Julia.chapman@mariecurie.org.uk
